¹⁷ Then ^(A)[a]raiders came from the camp of the Philistines in three ^[b]companies: one ^[c]company turned ^[d]toward ^(B)Ophrah, to the land of Shual, ¹⁸ and another ^[e]company turned ^[f]toward ^(C)Beth-horon, and another ^[g]company turned ^[h]toward the border that overlooks the Valley of ^(D)Zeboim toward the wilderness.

¹⁹ Now ^(E)no blacksmith could be found in all the land of Israel, because the Philistines said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make ^[i](F)swords or spears.”
